Dell has expanded its mobile business computing range with the launch of three Latitude notebooks and two Precision mobile workstations.
The newly unveiled laptops include Intel 915GM/PM chipset technology, Pentium M processors with speeds up to 2.13GHz, together with a 533MHz front-side bus and 2MB L2 cache.
According to the firm, the main developments include stiffer, sealed keyboards to protected against spills, Trusted Platform Module security technology and integrated smartcard readers.
The ultra-portable Latitude D410 weighs 1.72kg, has a black and sliver chassis and a starting price of £939. Dell claims that, with the addition of an optional nine-cell extended battery, users can come close to all-day computing without recharging.
