Like the 2420dn, the T430dn looks like a personal laser. At 10- by 16 by 16.7 inches (HWD) it takes up less desk space than many ink jets, and at 31.5 pounds it's light enough for one person to move easily. As with the 2420dn, physical setup is much like setting up a personal laser, with a single cartridge to install.

Network and driver installation is easy enough, but Lexmark's network install routine doesn't work quite as well as it should. When we used the automated install, the T430dn wouldn't print until we manually recreated a network port and told the printer to use the new port. We've never seen an equivalent problem installing an HP printer.
