AMD to lower prices of Socket-754 Semprons, as K7 is officially phased out
AMD already informed downstream customers and chipset partners in the second quarter that production of K7-based processors will end from July, noted Chou. However, at that time AMD stated it will continue producing K7 processors on customer request.
