Euro PC maker offers AMD-based desktops with one year 'stability' guarantee

European PC maker Maxdata has introduced AMD-based desktop PCs with a guaranteed 12 month stability period for corporate customers. The move gives firms an alternative to Intel-based systems, which already offer the platform stability required by large organisations.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core - Homogeneous hardware and software

Maxdata's Favorit Stable A runs AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processors and is based on Nvidia Business Platform (NBP) technology. System images produced for the Favorit Stable A can be used without any changes for all further purchases during the next 12 months, according to Maxdata.

"Homogeneous hardware and software is especially important for companies and public authorities when innovation cycles are increasing in speed, because it provides secure planning and lowers the cost of maintenance," said Maxdata's head of desktop product management, Claus Suckow.
