London, England - High powered computers are searching for a cure for the bird flu. 
 
According to BBC, the UK grid of computers that crunches data from particle physics experiments was used by scientists to study the avian H5N1 virus. 
 
300,000 simulated reactions

The grid, according to the report, simulated the reactions of 300,000 chemical compounds to find which ones might combat the bug.
