A motherboard with four graphics card slots, but beware, there's no quad-SLI support yet

Before you rush out and buy this motherboard, and the four graphics cards to go with it, it’s important to realise that the lack of quad-SLI support with Nvidia’s current driver means you won’t be able to run a four-card SLI system.


Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal motherboard

Indeed, if you put four cards in, the driver recognises that there are four SLI-compliant cards in the Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal motherboard, but politely asks you to remove two of them.

However, if you disable the SLI function, this board allows you to run up to eight DVI monitors – just the job for your flight sim. Then again, if you’ve got enough cash for four graphics cards and eight monitors, you might be better off buying yourself a private jet.
