Overheating batteries can cause units to catch fire
HP is recalling over 675,000 of its Photosmart R707 digital cameras from around the world because of potential safety issues.
The batteries in the camera can overheat when the camera is connected to an AC adapter or docking station and hold non-rechargeable batteries. A camera in at least one case has caught fire, but no injuries have been reported.
