Seattle, WA - Mozilla released Firefox 2.0.0.1 on Wednesday, as a precaution against security problems and to improve overall compatibility with the soon-to-hit-retail Windows Vista.
However, 100 percent compatibility with Vista appears to be more of an issue than previously thought.
As one use on a community thread wrote optimistically in January, 2006: "Firefox doesn't have to do anything. It runs just fine on its own, whether it be on Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, or whatever. Just because Microsoft comes out with a newer version of Windows has nothing to do with Firefox or any other application suddenly "breaking" and requiring an update for support."
