Washington D.C. - After the discovery of three "un patched bugs" in Microsoft Word some time back, the users of the word processing suite are warned against possible IT security issues following hacker attacks that target this software.
The presence of bugs within the program has enabled attackers to create so-called "booby-trapped" documents which can potentially capture sensitive business data or even gain complete control of computer systems when they are opened.
Microsoft has yet to release patches to fix the bugs in the Word software.
The three vulnerabilities are reportedly found in Microsoft Word 2000, 2002, Office 2003, Word Viewer 2003, Word 2004 for Mac, and Word v. X for Mac and Works 2004, 2005, and 2006.
