A European start-up named Berggi intends to bring email, instant messaging, and other communications services to low-cost mobile phones.

The CEO of Berggi, Babur Ozden, said his company plans to offer a simple alternative to the Blackberry email delivery service from Research in Motion (RIM). Ozden said Berggi's mission is to bring mobile messaging to the masses, and that Berggi's customers will be private email users and small business users - not corporate email users.
